Ann's paintings seem to come from a view of the world coloured by weather changes, light and dark, and their effect on mood, although mostly based on somewhere she has seen, they are really my experiance of a kind of place, rather than it's actual reality. although some of her ideas for painting can be expressed in words at the beginning, the painting takes over. Working with colour and composition, she tries to comunicate her experience to others; titles as a result are often difficult.Painting's for her, do not have meanings that can be put into words.
